The business ecosystem in Panama is one of the most important in the region, due to the country's strategic position, the canal, ports, free zones, special economic zones, monetary stability, financial strength and legal security, as well as the wide range of services for the promotion of foreign investment in our country.

Because of all the advantages of Panama, we had the pleasure of sharing with our colleagues from JPA Campeche, Mexico, Freddy Alejandro Cruz, Hugo Chacón and his Managing Partner Carlos Armando Pereyra, who were carrying out an Exploratory Commercial Mission to unite businesses from Campeche and Panama, in order to be able to offer new opportunities to its clients, taking advantage of Panama's logistics advantage to reach new markets.

Members JPA Mexico and Panama

Our Managing Partner of JPA Panama, Delia García and her team, prepared a series of high-level meetings so that our colleagues could learn all the details to develop joint business bridges for our clients, always counting on all the support received by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Omar Bazán and the distinguished Directors of the MICI who did their best so that our colleagues could live an experience of knowledge and work in line with the plans.

The Directors of the Ministry of Commerce,  Trade and Industries received the JPA members at the MICI offices, where they presented all the government programs to support foreign investment in our country, explaining issues of import, export, relabeling, logistics, security, taxes, legal and more.

Thanks to the management of the MICI, the JPA delegates were able to learn directly from government decision makers the information necessary for Campeche to have a special economic zone in Panama, and they even accompanied the JPA delegates in various meetings outside the Ministry of  Commerce,  Trade and Industries.

Our colleagues from JPA Campeche and JPA Panama made a visit to learn about the Special Economic Zone of Panama Pacific, where most SEM companies (Multinational Company Headquarters) operate under special laws that allow multinationals to establish their administrative headquarters. and logistics in Panama with tax and competitive advantages. The President of the Special Economic Zone of Panama Pacific, Dr. Henry Kardonski, personally attended to the JPA delegation and thanked our firm for its interest in strengthening business bridges between JPA member countries and the business advantages that Panama offers for investors.

On the second day of the visit, the JPA delegates met with Directors of the Colón Free Zone, the first multimodal logistics and re-export center in Panama and the most important in the region. We thank the Nuestra Señora del Carmen University, in the person of Dr. Rogelio Rigual for the links for the Protocol Visit to the Colón Free Zone, and also to the entire wonderful Free Zone team for all their fine attention and explanations about the business model of the Free Zone, we were also able to visit various businesses and hold business meetings with manufacturing companies and importers from the Free Zone.

An important part of establishing business in Panama is having the support of recognized and financially solid banking entities, which is why our advisors from Banco Aliado received the JPA delegates. We thank the VP of International Banking of Banco Aliado, Ofilio Reyes, who in the company of his executives welcomed us, opening the door to a very productive working alliance for our JPA clients globally.

Likewise, our thanks to the executives of Panapark Free Zone for such a wonderful visit that exceeded all expectations in this interesting model of Private Free Zone in Panama.

The Visit could not be complete without some tourist activities, getting to know the Panama Canal, the varied gastronomic and cultural offer of our country, which always welcomes all JPA colleagues globally with open arms, so that the businesses of our clients have all the advantages that Panama offers.
